Film and Gender 3
Lastnight I watched the show "Dog the Bounty Hunter". It's a man who is a former gang memeber and has 18 prior convictions. He now is a bounty hunter and a bail bondsman. His job consist of tracking down people who have skipped out on hearings or bonds. Many people he goes after are violent and it can be a dangerous job. It's a job done perferably by men. On his show however his wife is basically his right hand-man along with his older son's. She takes down men like a pro and then later the women's nuturing side comes out, and she gives them hope and prayer they can get their life straight. I like this show cause it portrays women in a different way than they usually are. She does the same job as her husband and grown son's do. It's not stereotypical of women and the work world.
