Failure to Launch

Failure to Launch is romantic comedy film about a woman interventionist who is hired by a thirty-five year old man, Trip's parents to make him fall inlove with her to which she will influence him to move out of their house. This shows the male gender role as being lazy and unsure of the direction of their life. It shows many men who are still living at home at thirty and over who sit around, mooch off their parents, and play video games all day. They seem less interested in romance and more into the next carefree exploration they are going to go on. Also the problem with Trip is he is afraid of commitment, another stereotype of men, making her job even harder. Failure to Launch doesn't exactly portray men as being caring, successful, and independent.
